What were Ashoka's Four Main Goals?



King Ashoka had four main goals that he wanted everybody to follow. They included:



  1. Buddhist Values: Follow the Buddha's teachings and do the right thing in life.
  2. General Welfare: Making sure that everyone had all the essentials of life like health care, water, food, and shelter.
  3. Justice: Having fair laws and how people were treated in jail and empire's courts.
  4. Security: This concerned people that were not from their empire.
